Brahmins kadala curry

Ingredients

  1. Raw Kadala (Chickpea): 150g (Soaked for 5hrs in hot water).
  2. Onion – 1 small size
  3. Tomato – ½ piece
  4. Ginger – 1 small piece
  5. Chilly – 1 No
  6. Coconut Oil – 4 teaspoon(20ml)
  7. Brahmins Kadala Curry masala – 3 tbsp (18gm)
  8. Coconut milk: 100ml (½ cup)
  9. Curry Leaves (as required)
  10. Mustard (as required)
  11. Salt to taste

Preparation method

  • Pressure Cook the soaked Kadala in a high flame with salt for 5 whistle and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard with curry leaves and red chilly.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard with curry leaves and red chilly.
  • Add chopped onion, ginger, tomato, salt, and sauté until the raw smell has gone.
  • Add Brahmins Kadala Curry Masala and sauté in low flame.
  • Add cooked Kadala along with the stock water & boil well.
  • Reduce the flame then add Coconut milk (if needed) and stir well.
  • Delicious Brahmins Kadala Curry Masala is ready to serve
